A website that really sells what you do

 

I.E. Retail are a specialist retail industry consultancy business. There practically nothing about retail that they don’t know and, as a result, they’re highly sought after by some of the best retail businesses in the world.

Their website on the other hand was leaving a bit to be desired. It was old, and looking outdated. Worse still, updating it was difficult for the I.E. Retail team and required support from web developers which was both time consuming and expensive.

SME Marketing were engaged to develop a new website for the business. Specifically, to build a more modern looking site, that would work equally well whether viewed on a phone, tablet or computer. Most important, the site needed to explain the I.E. Retail offer clearly, and be easy for their internal team to update as required.

This all sounded pretty straight forward, but it’s fair to say the team at I.E. Retail were nervous. It seems they’d been through a difficult process in getting their previous site developed, and were understandably weary about our process which it seemed sounded too good to be true.

Luckily, they let us crack on, and within 6 weeks, the new site was live, with only a single meeting with the client upfront to clarify the exact site requirements, followed by a final meeting to confirm a few small changes to be made before launch. The process couldn’t have been simply, just how they’d hoped it would be.

The new site provided everything that the I.E. Retail team had hoped for and more. We were able to develop the site and produce all the relevant content in a short time frame (6 weeks from start to finish) and ensure a great outcome for the business.
